# How to connect ESAB EDGE system to WeldCloud using gateway web interface

## Connect via Wi-Fi

Step-by-step walkthrough for connecting an ESAB Warrior EDGE system to WeldCloud by accessing the gateway's web configuration page over Ethernet and configuring WiFi connectivity. 12 steps.

### Prerequisites

- ESAB Warrior EDGE system
- WiFi USB dongle installed (see [How to connect Bluetooth and WiFi dongles to Warrior EDGE](https://support.indusuite.com/en/article/how-to-connect-bluetooth-and-wifi-dongles-to-warrior-edge-welding-system-svwr1x/) and [Supported connectivity dongles](https://support.indusuite.com/en/article/supported-connectivity-dongles-lyqvqj/))
- PC with Ethernet port and Ethernet cable
- Asset pre-created in WeldCloud with configuration file downloaded
- Active InduSuite account with WeldCloud license
- At least one Site created in WeldCloud

### Procedure

1. **Turn on** welding equipment and **wait 2 minutes** for gateway to boot

2. **Connect** your PC and welding equipment through Ethernet cable

3. Open browser and navigate to **`esab.local:8080`** (or **`esab.local:8443`** (HTTPS) for EDGE software package LP14 and later)

4. Enter credentials and click **"Login"** — default username: `admin`, password: `gateway`

5. You will be forced to change the default gateway password — choose your password and fill in twice, then click **"Save new password"**

6. Click **"Configuration"**

7. Click to open **Wi-Fi details**

8. Pick your **wireless network**, type the **password**, and click **"Connect"**

9. Check **Wi-Fi network connection status** on the gateway page

10. Click **"WeldCloud configuration"**

11. Click on **"Browse"** button and load the configuration file downloaded previously

12. Click **"Save changes"**

13. Check **WeldCloud connectivity status**

## Connect via wired connection

- At least one Site created in WeldCloud

### Procedure

7. Click to expand **wired configuration settings**

8. Select **IP assignment** — use **Dynamic** (DHCP) for most network environments

9. Click **"Save changes"**

10. Click **"WeldCloud configuration"**

11. Click on **"Browse"** button and load the configuration file downloaded previously

12. Click **"Save changes"**

13. **Disconnect** your laptop from the EDGE and **connect the EDGE to your wired network**
