# Update Preweld Temperature

Record preweld temperature readings for quality documentation in WeldCloud Fleet.

## Prerequisites

* Access to [apps.indusuite.com](https://apps.indusuite.com)
* WeldCloud Fleet subscription
* Equipment connected to WeldCloud

## Procedure

### Step 1: Navigate to Machine

Inside WeldCloud Fleet, navigate to **Machines & Stations**, and then select the desired machine.

### Step 2: Select Machine

Click on the machine you want to update (e.g., "Machine 3").

### Step 3: Click Edit

Click **"Edit"**, and then enter the temperature in the **"Preweld temperature (°C)"** field.

### Step 4: Enter Temperature

Click the **"Preweld temperature (°C)"** field and enter the temperature value.

### Step 5: Click Save

Click **"Save"** and the temperature will be recorded.

### Step 6: Temperature Recorded

The temperature is now recorded in the system.

### Temperature Field

* **Field name:** Preweld temperature (°C)
* **Unit:** Celsius (°C)
* **Location:** Machine settings → Edit mode
* **Format:** Decimal number (e.g., 100.0)

### Alternative Method

You can also update or register a temperature using **WeldCloud Assembly** application.

### Typical Temperature Ranges

* **Preheat:** 50-250°C (depending on material/thickness)
* **Interpass:** Usually same as preheat
* **Ambient:** 10-40°C
