How to digitalize a PQR automatically with AI

This guide walks you through digitalizing paper-based Procedure Qualification Records (PQRs) into WeldCloud Notes using the AI-powered PQR Digitalizer. You'll upload your PQR document, select the applicable welding standard, and the system automatically extracts and maps the data to relevant fields.

The digitalization process takes up to 2 minutes. Once complete, you'll review the extracted data side-by-side with the original document, verify accuracy, and manually correct any fields the AI missed. You can also create missing reference data on the fly, such as examining bodies, welders, filler materials, and base metals, if they don't already exist in your database. When all data is verified and complete, you approve the PQR to finalize it in the system.

1. Document Setup

2. Navigate to https://apps.indusuite.com/notes/

3. Click "PQRs"

4. Click "Digitalize a PQR"

5. Click "Upload PQR".

6. Click "PQR Standard" dropdown.

7. Select the standard for the PQR(s) you want to upload

8. The system will process the PQR. You might need to wait up to 2 minutes for the processing to be complete.

9. Click the PQR's file name to enter the review process

11. Click "Show Document" to get a side-by-side comparison of the parsed fields and the original document

12. Click "Hide Document" if you don't want to see the document at the same time.

13. Some fields may not be properly mapped to the fields, these fields should be manually introduced by the user (they can also be done at a later stage)

14. General Information

15. Some fields that need to have an option selected and it is not found in the database can be created inline, in this example it is the examining body.

16. Type the name of the object you're trying to create in the field (in this case, Inspecta Sweden AB was the examining body)

17. Click "Create Examining Body".

18. Click "Welder" search field. The welders may also require inline creation if they cannot be found in the database

19. Consumables and Shielding

20. Navigate to the "Consumables / Filler Materials" section.

21. Filler and base metals are other examples that may need to be created.

23. When you are done, click "Approve & Create PQR"
