Assign a new Universal Connector to an existing power source in WeldCloud apps

Did you experience an issue with your Universal Connector and you got a brand new one as a replacement?


In this scenario, it is common to re-assign your existing asset/power source configuration to the new Universal Connector.
This way, you will not loose any continuity in welding data collected by the new Universal Connector.
All new data will be associated to the existing asset/power source in WeldCloud apps.
Follow below instructions, making sure your WeldCloud Link app is up to date.
If not, please update it from Google Play Store


1. Open WeldCloud Link app on your Android device

2. Tap "Log In"

3. Enter your InduSuite credentials

4. Click on the hamburger menu icon on the top left screen of WeldCloud Link app

5. Select "Welding Unit Setup"

6. Tap on "Connect"

7. Select your Universal Connector from the "Devices list"

8. Tap on "Pair"

9. Select option "Import Existing Setup"

10. Fill in Universal Connector default password (Hint: gateway)

11. Tap "Log In"

12. For security reason, you will be forced to change Universal Connector default password. Choose a password at your convenience and type it twice

13. Tap on "Save Changes"

14. Select "WiFi"

15. Tap on "WiFi" icon to scan for available networks

16. Select your WiFi network from the list. Untick "WPA2 Enterprise" if your network security is WPA2-PSK

17. Fill in your WiFi network password
