How to connect ESAB SAW multi torch system to WeldCloud using gateway web interface

Step-by-step walkthrough for connecting an ESAB SAW multi-torch system with Standalone i.MX8 (Compulab) gateway to WeldCloud by accessing the gateway's web configuration page over Ethernet and configuring WiFi connectivity. 12 steps.


Prerequisites



Procedure


  1. Turn on welding equipment and wait 2 minutes for gateway to boot
  2. Connect your PC and Standalone i.MX8 gateway through Ethernet cable



    Connect PC to Compulab gateway via Ethernet
  3. Open browser and navigate to 192.168.254.1:8080
  4. Enter credentials and click "Login" — default username: admin, password: gateway

  5. You will be forced to change the default gateway password — choose your password and fill in twice, then click "Save new password"

  6. Click "Configuration"

  7. Click to open Wi-Fi details

  8. Pick your wireless network, type the password, and click "Connect"

  9. Check Wi-Fi network connection status on the gateway page

  1. Click on "Browse" button and load the configuration file downloaded previously

Prerequisites


  • ESAB SAW multi-torch system with Standalone i.MX8 (Compulab) gateway
  • PC with Ethernet port and Ethernet cable
  • Asset pre-created in WeldCloud with configuration file downloaded
  • Active InduSuite account with WeldCloud license
  • At least one Site created in WeldCloud


Procedure


  1. Turn on welding equipment and wait 2 minutes for gateway to boot
  2. Connect your PC and Standalone i.MX8 gateway through Ethernet cable

  1. Disconnect your laptop from the gateway and connect the Standalone i.MX8 gateway to your wired network
