How to connect ESAB SAW multi torch system to WeldCloud using gateway web interface

Step-by-step walkthrough for connecting an ESAB SAW multi-torch system with Standalone i.MX8 (Compulab) gateway to WeldCloud by accessing the gateway's web configuration page over Ethernet and configuring WiFi connectivity. 12 steps.
Prerequisites
- ESAB SAW multi-torch system with Standalone i.MX8 (Compulab) gateway
- WiFi USB dongle installed (see How to connect Bluetooth and WiFi dongles to Compulab gateway and Supported connectivity dongles)
- PC with Ethernet port and Ethernet cable
- Asset pre-created in WeldCloud with configuration file downloaded
- Active InduSuite account with WeldCloud license
- At least one Site created in WeldCloud
Procedure
- Turn on welding equipment and wait 2 minutes for gateway to boot
- Connect your PC and Standalone i.MX8 gateway through Ethernet cable

- Open browser and navigate to
192.168.254.1:8080 - Enter credentials and click "Login" — default username:
admin, password:gateway
- You will be forced to change the default gateway password — choose your password and fill in twice, then click "Save new password"

- Click "Configuration"

- Click to open Wi-Fi details

- Pick your wireless network, type the password, and click "Connect"

- Check Wi-Fi network connection status on the gateway page

- Click "WeldCloud configuration"

- Click on "Browse" button and load the configuration file downloaded previously

- Click "Save changes"

- Check WeldCloud connectivity status

Procedure

- Select IP assignment — use Dynamic (DHCP) for most network environments

- Click "Save changes"

- Click "WeldCloud configuration"

- Click on "Browse" button and load the configuration file downloaded previously

- Click "Save changes"

- Disconnect your laptop from the gateway and connect the Standalone i.MX8 gateway to your wired network
