How to connect Universal Connector to WeldCloud

Step-by-step walkthrough for connecting a WeldCloud Universal Connector to WeldCloud using the Android WeldCloud Link app over Bluetooth and WiFi. 18 steps, ~5 minutes.

Prerequisites

• Universal Connector hardware installed on power source (see weldcloud-equipment-connection skill)
• Android device (7.0+) with Bluetooth and Internet
• WeldCloud Link installed
• Active InduSuite account with WeldCloud license
• At least one Site created in WeldCloud

Procedure

1. Open WeldCloud Link on your Android device

2. Tap "LOG IN" and use your WeldCloud apps credentials

3. Tap on the hamburger menu in the top left corner

4. Tap "Welding Unit Setup"

5. Tap "CONNECT"

6. Tap on the device you want to connect to (discovered via Bluetooth)

7. Tap "OK" to pair with the device

8. Tap "NEW SETUP"

9. Enter gateway password (default: gateway) and tap "LOGIN"

10. You will be forced to change the default password — choose a new password, type it twice, tap "SAVE CHANGES"

11. Select "Wifi"

12. Tap on the WiFi icon to scan for available networks

13. WeldCloud Link will scan for available Wi-Fi networks

14. Tap on the WiFi network you want to connect to

15. Fill in the WiFi password and tap "NEXT"

16. Type the welding equipment display name, pick the site, select asset type and license, then tap "CONFIGURE SETUP"

17. Wait for setup to complete

18. You will be notified once configuration is done
