How to Add a New Assembly with Parts and Welds

Create a complete Assembly in WeldCloud Assembly — including client, site, standards, parts with drawings, and welds with WPS assignments. This is the foundational workflow for all other Assembly operations.


Procedure


  1. Click "Assemblies" in the left navigation



    Click Assemblies
  2. Click "Add" to create a new assembly



    Click Add
  3. Click the *"Name " field and type the desired Assembly name

  4. Click the "Client" field and select the Client from the dropdown list

  5. Click the "Sites" field and select the Site from the dropdown list

  6. Click the "WPS/PQR standard" field and select the Standard you will use in this Assembly

  7. Do the same to select the Operator Standard, by clicking the corresponding field

  8. Click "Save" and start creating your Parts and Welds



    Click Save
  9. Click "Add part" to create your first Part



    Click Add part
  10. Click "Reference Drawing" and select a previously uploaded Drawing. If your company only uses Isometric drawings for each part, skip this step

  1. Also add a previously uploaded Drawing by clicking "Iso Drawing" and selecting the desired one

  1. Click "Save" to start adding Welds to your Assembly Part


Click Save to add Welds


  1. Click "Add weld"

  1. Click the "Weld type" field and select the right one from the dropdown list

  1. Click the "WPS" field and select the WPS you will use for this Weld

  1. Enter the Thickness of the Base Materials and then click "Save"
