How to Add a New Assembly with Parts and Welds
Create a complete Assembly in WeldCloud Assembly — including client, site, standards, parts with drawings, and welds with WPS assignments. This is the foundational workflow for all other Assembly operations.
Procedure
- Click "Assemblies" in the left navigation

- Click "Add" to create a new assembly

- Click the *"Name " field and type the desired Assembly name

- Click the "Client" field and select the Client from the dropdown list

- Click the "Sites" field and select the Site from the dropdown list

- Click the "WPS/PQR standard" field and select the Standard you will use in this Assembly

- Do the same to select the Operator Standard, by clicking the corresponding field

- Click "Save" and start creating your Parts and Welds

- Click "Add part" to create your first Part

- Click "Reference Drawing" and select a previously uploaded Drawing. If your company only uses Isometric drawings for each part, skip this step

- Also add a previously uploaded Drawing by clicking "Iso Drawing" and selecting the desired one

- Click "Save" to start adding Welds to your Assembly Part

- Click "Add weld"

- Click the "Weld type" field and select the right one from the dropdown list

- Click the "WPS" field and select the WPS you will use for this Weld

- Enter the Thickness of the Base Materials and then click "Save"
