How to Create Weld Instructions

Add Groove Designs and Weld Layer Configuration drawings to your Welds in WeldCloud Assembly. You can select from existing sketches, copy from WPS, customize designs, or create new sketches (which redirects to WeldCloud Notes).

Procedure

1. Once inside the desired Assembly, click "Welds"

   
   

   
   
2. Click on the weld you want to add instructions to

   
   

   
   
3. Scroll down and you'll find the "Groove Design" and "Weld Layer Configuration" sections

   
   

   
   
4. Clicking on "Actions", you'll find options to Select, Copy from WPS, or Create a New Sketch. You can even Customize your designs if needed

   
   

   
   
5. Click "Actions" under Groove Design

   
   

   
   
6. Click "Customize" to modify an existing design

   
   

   
   
7. Click the save button after customizing

   
   

   
   
8. You can also create a new sketch by clicking "Actions" and then "Create New Sketch" — this will take you to WeldCloud Notes to continue

   
   

   
   
9. Click to confirm and go to WeldCloud Notes

   
   

   
   
10. You can do the same for the "Weld Layer Configuration" as you did for the "Groove Design"
