How to change Wi-Fi network configuration for Universal Connector

Change Universal Connector Wi-Fi settings with WeldCloud Link app


This tutorial guides you through updating the Wi-Fi configuration of your Universal Connector.
You’ll need to do this if you change your Wi-Fi password or want to connect to a different network.


Prerequisite: An Android device with the WeldCloud Link app installed (available on the Google Play Store).

The steps below explain how to update the Wi-Fi settings on your Universal Connector.


1. Open WeldCloud Link app


2. Click SKIP


3. Click on the hamburger menu on the top left of the app


4. Click Welding Unit Setup


5. Click CONNECT


6. WeldCloud Link will scan for nearby devices

7. Tap on the Universal Connector you want to change network configuration

8. Click on PAIR


9. A check mark will show once pairing is complete

10. Click NETWORK SETTINGS


11. Enter password you set first time you configured the Universal Connector and click LOG IN


12. Click Wifi


13. Click on the wifi icon to scan for available networks


14. Tap on the wifi network you want to connect


15. Fill in wifi network password and click SAVE CHANGES


16. WeldCloud Link will show a message confirming the operation

17. Click on the go back arrow at the top left of the app


18. Wait until both Wifi and WeldCloud icon are enabled again
