InduSuite apps features both users and personnel. Let's have a look at the main difference between them

User : A user is a person with rights to access and utilize InduSuite apps based on the license owned. A user in InduSuite is always associated to an email address as a username and a password to authenticate to InduSuite platform.
Defining user's specific access and authorization levels to InduSuite apps is available through Permission groups

Personnel : A member of the company staff, performing activities we want to track and/or trace in any InduSuite app. A member of the staff may or may not have access to InduSuite apps. As an example welders belong to personnel but, usually, they do not need to access any InduSuite app, while a welding inspector may need to access to perform certain tasks.

Users and Permission groups

In the Settings app is possible to create Users and Permission groups. You may decide to create users first and then permission groups or vice versa. Once both users and permission groups are created you can assign each user to the relevant permission group.

Basic permission groups are created automatically and you can assign users to them right away. Create custom permission groups for complete flexibility and to define more granular access levels to InduSuite apps

How to create Permission groups

Permission groups are an easy way to manage InduSuite apps access for your users.
This helps you to:

Grant access only to specific sites or sub-sites in your organizational structure
Grant access only to specific InduSuite apps
Define access level for each InduSuite app

How to create Users and assign them to an existing permission group

First InduSuite apps user is created automatically when a new app subscription is created and accepted by the customer.
This user has administrative privileges over InduSuite apps and is allowed to add new users and assign them to specific permission group/groups.
Certain InduSuite apps are licensed per user created, so please take care you have enough licenses.
Anyway you will be notified in case your license plan does not allow you to add new users.

Personnel management

Personnel management feature within Settings app gives you the opportunity to add different staff members for your company.
Personnel roles available are:

Welder
Fitter
Supervisor
Cutting operator
Grinder
Inspector

Different ways of adding personnel are available:

Single person - This option is used to create a single operator or staff member
From InduSuite users - This option is used to create new personnel and link them to existing InduSuite users
Personnel and users - This option is used to invite users and link them as personnel simultaneously
Import personnel from file - This option is used to bulk import personnel and/or invite them as users from an excel file
