How to create permission groups for your welding machines
Control which operators can access specific machines by creating permission groups in WeldCloud Fleet.
Prerequisites
- Access to apps.indusuite.com
- WeldCloud Fleet subscription
- Personnel configured in InduSuite
- Admin or appropriate permissions
Procedure
Step 1: Enter WeldCloud Fleet
Enter WeldCloud Fleet.

Step 2: Click Machine Permissions
Click Machine permissions in the sidebar.

Step 3: Create Permissions Group
Click Create permissions group.

Step 4: Select Group Type
Two types of groups can be created:
- All machines - Assign specific operators authorization to access all of your welding equipment
- Custom - Specify which machines an operator within the group is authorized to access

Step 5: Click Create
In this guide we will go for All machines group. Click Create.

Step 6: Select Operators
Select operators you want to authorize to access all machines in your fleet.

Step 7: Create Group
Once done, click Create group.

Step 8: Set Permission Levels
Different machine types may have different permission levels. Please refer to welding machine manuals for details on different machine permission levels.
Select the desired permission level for each group of machines.

Step 9: Apply to Machines
Click Apply to machines.

Step 10: Apply Changes
Click Apply changes.

Step 11: Close
Click Close.

Quick Reference
Permission Levels
- Admin - Full system access, can modify settings
- Full Access - Can operate machine completely
- Limited - Basic welding operations only
- No Access - Cannot access machine
Group Types
- All machines - Fleet-wide permissions (applies to every machine)
- Custom - Machine-specific permissions (select individual machines)
