How to enable ESAB Warrior EDGE NFC cards for operators

Introduction to welders traceability with ESAB Warrior EDGE RFID cards


ESAB Warrior EDGE welding system is equipped with a wire feeder with RFID capabilities and two sets of NFC cards:


  1. Two admin cards
  2. Three user cards


ROBUSTFEED EDGE with built-in RFID capabilities


Different sets of NFC cards have been delivered, depending on the purchasing date of the ESAB Warrior EDGE welding system, as shown in below pictures.
Main difference between older and newer version of NFC cards is whether or not the NFC ID is printed on the cards.

Activating Operator Management in ESAB Warrior EDGE gives you full control over personnel operating your welding system and grants welding session traceability in WeldCloud apps.


Summary of the steps to enable NFC cards for operators


  1. Enable Personal Login in Warrior EDGE system
  2. Create welder under Personnel Management in WeldCloud Settings app and set an association with a user NFC card
  3. Create a Machine permission group in WeldCloud Fleet, defining which machines, and the permission levels, the welder is authorized to operate

NFC ID can be found directly printed on user newer cards version
